Determining the Prevalence of de-novo Post Liver Transplantation in Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)
Investigating Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) in Liver Transplant Recipients
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to bridge the gap of knowledge pertaining to NAFLD in post-LT patients, we propose to study this population, determine the disease burden, and characterize the risk factors for NAFLD in a cohort of liver transplant recipients who received transplantation for NASH and other indications.

Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
This study investigates the condition known as Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) in patients who have undergone liver transplantation (LT). NAFLD is a condition where there is excess fat stored in the liver not due to alcohol use. The study aims to understand the burden of this disease and identify risk factors among patients who received a liver transplant due to Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) and other reasons.
Participants in this study will undergo various procedures to assess the presence and extent of NAFLD. These procedures may include imaging tests, blood tests, and possibly liver biopsies to gather comprehensive data on liver health and disease progression.
- Who can participate: The study is open to individuals who have received a liver transplant due to NASH or other liver conditions. Participants must have undergone the transplant procedure and be in the post-transplant phase. There are no specific age restrictions for participation.
- Study details: Participants will undergo imaging and blood tests to evaluate liver health. A placebo is not involved in this study.
