This study investigates how age and emotions influence a person's decision to respond to a lottery-type offer. A lottery-type solicitation is a request or invitation to participate in a lottery or similar game of chance. The researchers aim to understand if and how different age groups react emotionally to such solicitations.
Participants will interact with a trained research assistant to complete various activities. These activities include surveys and cognitive tasks like remembering details from a story. Cognitive tasks are exercises that test how well you think, remember, and solve problems.
