Brief description of study.

The purpose of the proposed study is to validate the DREAD scale in a larger, more diverse sample of Diabetes Healthcare Providers. Our aim is to further refine the scale in order to improve the psychometric properties if necessary. The DREAD scale will be used to identify rates of diabetes burnout in DHPs and is to be used in conjunction with interventions to prevent and reduce the occurrence of burnout in these healthcare professionals.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Diabetes,Healthy
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria
Able to read and write in the English language
Must be a current healthcare provider with experience in treating patients with diabetes

This study investigates the use of the DREAD scale to identify burnout rates among healthcare providers who treat diabetes. Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress. The DREAD scale aims to measure how often this occurs among these professionals.

Participants will complete assessments using the DREAD scale, which evaluates their level of burnout. The study seeks to improve the scale's accuracy and reliability, ensuring it effectively identifies burnout in healthcare providers.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be able to read and write in English and be current healthcare providers with experience in treating diabetes patients.
  • Study details: Participants will be required to complete the DREAD scale assessments. These assessments are designed to measure burnout levels among diabetes healthcare providers.
