Study on Social Psychological Phenomena
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to examine the related social psychological phenomena of attribution of humanity, mind perception, dehumanization, and superhumanization.

Inclusion Criteria
Because we are testing whether the phenomenon of interest occurs in part because of stereotypes that are historically present in the US, we are recruiting participants who were born in the United States and who currently live in this country (country of origin for MTurkers will be checked via IP address).
This study investigates social psychological phenomena such as attribution of humanity, mind perception, dehumanization, and superhumanization. These terms refer to how people perceive and attribute human-like qualities and mental states to others, and how they may sometimes see others as less than human or possessing superhuman qualities.
Participants will be asked to engage in various tasks and answer questions that explore these psychological concepts. The study will involve assessing how individuals view others and the influence of stereotypes on these perceptions.
- Who can participate: Participants must be born in the United States and currently reside in the country. Eligibility is confirmed through IP address verification for online participants.
- Study details: Participants will engage in tasks and answer questions related to social perceptions. The study examines how stereotypes influence the attribution of human-like qualities to others.
