Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to examine aggregate mental health status and social identify after eleven week completion of group activity.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria

A student at Hope Academy High School participating in the Identity Empowerment group. Some of the students may be 18 years of age.

Exclusion Criteria

-Students who are expelled from Hope Academy
-Students enrolled in Fairbanks Hospital (parent affiliate of Hope Academy) intensive inpatient program

The purpose of this study is to examine the mental health and social identity of students after they complete an eleven-week group activity. Mental health refers to the emotional and psychological well-being of a person, and social identity is how individuals identify themselves in relation to groups they are part of.

In this study, students will participate in group activities designed to empower their identity. The study will assess changes in their mental health and social identity status after the activities are completed.

  • Who can participate: Students at Hope Academy High School who are part of the Identity Empowerment group can participate. Some of these students may be 18 years old. Students who are expelled or enrolled in an intensive inpatient program at Fairbanks Hospital are not eligible.
  • Study details: Participants will engage in group activities aimed at empowering their identity. Their mental health and social identity will be assessed after the completion of these activities.
  • Study Timelines: The study will last eleven weeks.
