Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Pancreatitis
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates whether endoscopic dual sphincterotomy, which involves cutting both the biliary and pancreatic duct valve muscles, is a more effective therapy compared to biliary sphincterotomy alone. Biliary sphincterotomy is a procedure where only the bile duct valve muscle is cut.

Participants in the study will undergo one of the two procedures: endoscopic dual sphincterotomy or biliary sphincterotomy. These procedures are performed to relieve blockages or other issues in the bile or pancreatic ducts.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be adults experiencing bile duct issues. Further eligibility criteria will be provided upon inquiry.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo either endoscopic dual sphincterotomy or biliary sphincterotomy. They will be monitored for outcomes related to duct blockages.
