This study investigates the experiences and expectations of young people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) as they transition from a pediatric gastroenterologist to an adult gastroenterologist. Inflammatory bowel disease is a term used for two main conditions, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, which cause inflammation in the digestive tract.

Participants will be asked about their experiences and expectations during this transition period. The study aims to gather information through interviews or questionnaires, which will help understand the challenges faced by young patients moving from pediatric to adult care.

  • Who can participate: Young individuals aged [specific age range] diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) who are transitioning from pediatric to adult gastroenterology care are eligible to participate.
