Proteomic Profile of Ocular Fluids in Glaucoma and Retinal Disease
Investigation of Proteins in Eye Fluid for Glaucoma and Cataract
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to learn what proteins are present in eye fluid from persons suffering from glaucoma or cataract.
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to learn what proteins are present in eye fluid from persons suffering from glaucoma or cataract.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Glaucoma
-
Age: 40 years - 100 years
-
Gender: All
This study investigates what proteins are present in the eye fluid of people with glaucoma or cataracts. Glaucoma is a condition that damages the optic nerve, often due to high eye pressure, and cataracts cause clouding of the eye lens, leading to vision impairment.
Participants will provide samples of eye fluid for analysis. The study will examine these samples to identify the proteins present, which may help in understanding these eye conditions better.
- Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older diagnosed with glaucoma or cataracts are eligible to participate.
- Study details: Participants will provide eye fluid samples for protein analysis. The study does not involve any treatment or medication.
