Brief description of study.

The overall goal of this study is to find ways to get rid of the tumor cells while saving the largest amount of normal kidney tissue possible.

Detailed description of study

This phase III clinical trial is studying how well combination chemotherapy and surgery work in treating young patients with Bilateral Wilms tumor and children who are a special risk for forming tumors in both kidneys.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Wilm's Tumor
  • Age: 29 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how well combination chemotherapy and surgery work in treating young patients with Bilateral Wilms tumor. Bilateral Wilms tumor is a type of kidney cancer that affects both kidneys, often in children.

Participants in the study will receive chemotherapy, which uses drugs to kill cancer cells, followed by surgery to remove the tumor. The study aims to save as much normal kidney tissue as possible during the treatment.

  • Who can participate: This study is for young patients diagnosed with Bilateral Wilms tumor or those at special risk for tumors in both kidneys. Participants must be within a specified age range to qualify.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo chemotherapy and surgery as part of the treatment. Chemotherapy involves using drugs to destroy cancer cells before surgical removal of the tumor.
