Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
  • Age: 4 years - 21 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the effects of an investigational medication on oral mucositis, a common side effect of stem cell transplants. Oral mucositis is a condition where the lining of the mouth becomes inflamed and sore, often due to cancer treatments.

Participants will be assigned to different study arms to receive either the investigational medication or a placebo, which is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medication but does not contain any medicine. The study will include regular assessments to monitor the severity of oral mucositis.

  • Who can participate: The study is open to patients undergoing stem cell transplants who are experiencing oral mucositis. Participants must meet specific health criteria, including age requirements, to ensure safety.
  • Study details: Participants will take part in a study where they may receive the investigational medication or a placebo. The study will include regular assessments to monitor the severity of oral mucositis.
