Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Inhalation Injury
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how to determine if someone's lungs have been injured after being exposed to a fire. Lung injuries from fires can be difficult to diagnose, and this study aims to explore better assessment methods. The study will focus on identifying signs of lung damage that may not be immediately apparent.

Participants will undergo specific procedures to assess lung function and identify potential injuries. These procedures may include imaging tests and breathing assessments to evaluate lung health after fire exposure.

  • Who can participate: Individuals aged 18 and older who have been exposed to fire smoke and do not have pre-existing lung conditions are eligible to participate.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo procedures to assess lung function and identify potential injuries. These procedures may include imaging tests and breathing evaluations to check lung health after fire exposure.
