The purpose of this study is to explore out the changes in self-efficacy of dance instructors and volunteers who assist with an adapted dance program for young individuals with Down syndrome.

The purpose of this study is to explore out the changes in self-efficacy of dance instructors and volunteers who assist with an adapted dance program for young individuals with Down syndrome.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Down Syndrome
  • Age: 12 years - 35 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the changes in self-efficacy among dance instructors and volunteers who participate in an adapted dance program. Self-efficacy refers to a person's belief in their ability to succeed in specific situations or accomplish a task. The program is designed for young individuals with Down syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects physical and intellectual development.

Participants in the study will engage in dance instruction and volunteer activities as part of the adapted dance program. The study will assess their self-efficacy before and after their involvement in the program to understand any changes that occur.

  • Who can participate: The study is open to dance instructors and volunteers who are involved in an adapted dance program for young individuals with Down syndrome. Participants should be willing to engage in the program activities and assessments. There are no specific age requirements.
  • Study details: Participants will take part in dance instruction and volunteer activities. Their self-efficacy will be assessed before and after the program. A placebo is not involved in this study.
