Randomized Double-Blind Phase 3 Study of TAS-102 Plus Best Supportive Care (BSC) Versus Placebo Plus Best Supportive Care in Patients With Metastatic Colorectal Cancer Refractory To Standard Chemotherapies
Research Study on Investigational Medication and Supportive Care for Refractory Colorectal Cancer
Brief description of study.

This study investigates the effects of an investigational medication compared to a placebo in patients with refractory colorectal cancer. Refractory colorectal cancer is a type of cancer that does not respond to standard treatments. The study aims to understand how the investigational medication, along with supportive care, impacts the condition compared to a placebo, which is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine but does not contain any medicine.
Participants in the study will be randomly assigned to one of the study arms. One arm will receive the investigational medication along with supportive care, while the other will receive a placebo and supportive care. The study will monitor the effects, both positive and negative, of the investigational medication compared to the placebo.
- Who can participate: Participants must be adults aged 18 and over with a diagnosis of refractory colorectal cancer that has not responded to standard treatments.
- Study details: Participants will be assigned to receive either the investigational medication or a placebo, both alongside supportive care.
