Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Gastrointestinal Disorders
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how families feel about the process when a child is screened for anxiety or depression at a pediatric gastroenterology office. Anxiety is when someone feels very worried or afraid, and depression is when someone feels very sad or hopeless. Both conditions can affect how a person thinks and acts. The study aims to understand what families prefer during these screenings.

The study involves conducting interviews with families. These interviews will include structured questions that are both open-ended, allowing families to express their thoughts freely, and specific, to gather detailed information. This will help researchers learn more about family preferences during the screening process.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be families with children undergoing anxiety or depression screening at a pediatric gastroenterology office. Specific eligibility includes children aged 6-17 years.
  • Study details: Participants will take part in interviews where they will answer structured questions. These questions will be both open-ended and specific to gather detailed information about their preferences during the screening process.
