Blind Stick vs. Ultrasound Guided Arterial Line Placement
Brief description of study.
The objective of this of this prospective, randomized study is to determine whether ultrasound guided arterial catheterization is faster and more successful in comparison to traditional blind palpation technique in a wide range of adult OR patients by measuring: time to placement, number of attempts, number of sites used, number of catheters used, number of operators required to complete the placement and first time success rate.
