The purpose of this study is to obtain information about the effectiveness of the American Red Cross programs in changing participant knowledge and attitudes toward water safety in cities where socio-economic demographics and cultural factors may impact drowning rates.

The purpose of this study is to obtain information about the effectiveness of the American Red Cross programs in changing participant knowledge and attitudes toward water safety in cities where socio-economic demographics and cultural factors may impact drowning rates.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the effectiveness of educational programs in changing knowledge and attitudes about water safety. The focus is on cities where socio-economic and cultural factors may affect drowning rates.

Participants will engage in educational sessions provided by the American Red Cross. These sessions aim to improve understanding and awareness of water safety issues.

  • Who can participate: Participants aged 18 to 65 who are residents of the selected cities and have no prior formal training in water safety are eligible.
  • Study details: Participants will attend educational sessions designed to enhance their knowledge of water safety. The focus will be on understanding how socio-economic and cultural factors influence safety practices.
