Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Stroke
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates a community-based yoga program designed for people with physical impairments resulting from stroke or acquired brain injury (ABI). These conditions can affect movement and coordination, making it challenging for individuals to engage in regular physical activities. The study aims to adapt yoga practices to accommodate these physical limitations, promoting wellness and physical activity among participants.

Participants in the study will engage in group yoga sessions that are specifically adapted to their needs. These sessions will be conducted in a community setting, allowing individuals to practice yoga in a supportive environment. The adapted yoga program will focus on improving physical function and overall well-being, tailored to each participant's abilities.

  • Who can participate: Individuals aged 18 and older with physical impairments due to stroke or acquired brain injury (ABI) are eligible to participate.
  • Study details: Participants will take part in group yoga sessions adapted for their physical needs. The program is designed to be sustainable and community-based, providing support for ongoing practice. There is no placebo in this study, as the program involves active participation in yoga sessions.
