The purpose of this observational and experimental study will be to survey upper string players at Indiana University and determine if yoga stretching will reduce pain.

The purpose of this observational and experimental study will be to survey upper string players at Indiana University and determine if yoga stretching will reduce pain.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the effects of yoga stretching on reducing pain in upper string players. Upper string players are musicians who play instruments like the violin and viola. The study is being conducted at Indiana University.

Participants will be surveyed about their pain levels before and after practicing yoga stretching. This will help determine the effectiveness of yoga in reducing pain among musicians.

  • Who can participate: The research is open to upper string players at Indiana University. Participants must be within the age range of 18-65 and not have any contraindications for physical activity.
