Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to identify factors which may affect colon prepartation in children.

Detailed description of study

Because of the high frequency of inadequate bowel preparation, we have decided to examine potential demographic and clinical predictors of inadequate colonic preparation. By identifying these characteristics, we intend to better characterize patients at an increased risk for inadequate colon preparation for whom alternative preparation strategies can be designed in future.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 1 years - 18 years
  • Gender: All

The purpose of this study is to identify factors that may affect colon preparation in children. Colon preparation is important for procedures like colonoscopies, where the colon needs to be clean for the doctor to see clearly. This study looks at different characteristics of children that might make colon preparation harder for some.

Participants in this study will undergo a series of assessments to determine which demographic and clinical factors contribute to inadequate colon preparation. These assessments will help researchers understand the challenges in preparing the colon properly in children.

  • Who can participate: This study is looking for children aged 5 to 17 who require colon preparation for medical procedures.
  • Study details: The focus is on understanding existing conditions and characteristics affecting colon preparation. No medication will be used.
