Learning to Maximize Reward Rate
Study on Perceptual Decision Making
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to explore how people make perceptual decisions.
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to integrate two theories of decision making: (1)sequential sampling theory and (2)reinforcement learning theory.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Healthy
-
Age: 18 years - 35 years
-
Gender: All
This study investigates how people make perceptual decisions. It aims to understand the processes involved when individuals interpret sensory information and make choices based on that information.
The study will integrate two theories of decision making: sequential sampling theory, which involves collecting information over time to make a decision, and reinforcement learning theory, which involves learning from the outcomes of past decisions to make future choices.
- Who can participate: Participants aged 18 to 65 years who have normal or corrected-to-normal vision and no history of neurological disorders are eligible to participate.
- Study details: Participants will engage in computer-based tasks where they will be asked to interpret visual stimuli and make decisions based on the information presented. They will also provide feedback on their decision-making process.
