The purpose of this study is to study diagnostic and treatment practices regarding liver-related comorbidities in HIV-infected adults and children in ART programs from the four African IeDEA regions.

The purpose of this study is to study diagnostic and treatment practices regarding liver-related comorbidities in HIV-infected adults and children in ART programs from the four African IeDEA regions.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: HIV
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates diagnostic and treatment practices for liver-related comorbidities in adults and children with HIV. Comorbidities are additional diseases or conditions that occur along with a primary disease. This study focuses on participants who are in ART, which stands for antiretroviral therapy, programs across four regions in Africa.

Participants in this study will undergo various procedures to assess liver health. These procedures may include medical examinations and tests to evaluate how liver-related conditions are managed in conjunction with HIV treatment. The study aims to gather information on current practices to improve care.

  • Who can participate: Participants include HIV-infected adults and children aged 18 and older who are part of ART programs in four African IeDEA regions.
  • Study details: Participants will be involved in procedures that assess liver health and management practices. The study will collect data on how liver-related conditions are diagnosed and treated alongside HIV.
