Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: amblyopia
-
Age: 5 years - 17 years
-
Gender: All
This study investigates the effectiveness of iPad therapy in treating amblyopia, a condition often referred to as 'lazy eye'. Amblyopia occurs when the vision in one of the eyes is reduced because the eye and the brain are not working together properly. The study aims to compare this therapy to the traditional method of using a patch over the stronger eye to encourage the weaker eye to work harder.
Participants in the study will either use an iPad therapy designed to improve vision in the weaker eye or follow the standard treatment of wearing a patch over the stronger eye. The study will monitor changes in vision to determine the effectiveness of the iPad therapy.
- Who can participate: Participants must have a diagnosis of amblyopia.
- Study details: Participants will be assigned to either use an investigational iPad therapy or wear a patch over their stronger eye as part of the study. The iPad therapy involves specific exercises aimed at improving vision in the weaker eye.
