The purpose of this study is to investigate how Puerto Rican speakers evaluate their own Spanish variety; and compare their evaluations to their actual use.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how Puerto Rican speakers evaluate their own Spanish variety; and compare their evaluations to their actual use.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how Puerto Rican speakers perceive and evaluate their own variety of Spanish. The goal is to understand how these perceptions align with their actual language use.

Participants will be asked to provide self-evaluations of their Spanish language variety and participate in activities that assess their language use. This will help researchers compare perceived and actual language usage among Puerto Rican speakers.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be Puerto Rican speakers of Spanish and meet specific age criteria.
