The purpose of this study is to identify the underlying mechanisms for the association of depressive disorders and HIV-(CVD) and a new intervention to mitigate the risk of depression related CVD in HIV.

Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to identify the underlying mechanisms for the association of depressive disorders and HIV-(CVD) and a new intervention to mitigate the risk of depression related CVD in HIV.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: HIV
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the connection between depressive disorders and cardiovascular disease (CVD) in people living with HIV. The purpose is to explore how depression can affect the heart and blood vessels in these individuals.

Participants will undergo various study procedures to assess their mental and cardiovascular health. This may include interviews, medical tests, and possibly receiving an investigational intervention aimed at reducing the risk of CVD associated with depression in those with HIV.

  • Who can participate: The eligibility criteria include age and other key factors, which are not specified in the provided information.
  • Study details: Participants may be asked to undergo interviews and medical tests. Some participants might receive an investigational intervention to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease related to depression in individuals with HIV. If applicable, a placebo may be used, which is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine/vaccine but does not contain any medicine.
