Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to determine if the different methods of measuring background will cause the thyroid uptake measurement to be skewed.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how different methods of measuring background might affect thyroid uptake measurements. The thyroid is a gland in the neck that produces hormones important for regulating metabolism. Researchers want to understand if various techniques for measuring background can influence the results of thyroid uptake tests.

Participants in the study will undergo different procedures to measure thyroid uptake. These procedures will involve using various methods to assess background levels, which are essential for accurate thyroid function tests.

  • Who can participate: The study is open to individuals aged 18 and older who meet specific health criteria related to thyroid function. Participants should be able to undergo thyroid uptake measurement procedures.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo procedures to measure thyroid uptake using different background measurement methods. No placebo will be involved.
