This study investigates how people understand information when it is presented in mixed-language speech, known as 'code-switching.' Code-switching occurs when speakers alternate between two languages in a conversation. The study aims to explore whether bilingual individuals can perceive information as accurately in mixed-language contexts as they do in single-language settings.

Participants in this study will listen to speech presented in both mixed-language and single-language formats. The study will assess their ability to understand and perceive information accurately in these different contexts.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be bilingual, aged 18 to 65, and have no hearing impairments. They should be fluent in both languages used in the study.
  • Study details: Participants will be asked to listen to speech in both mixed-language and single-language formats and their understanding will be assessed.
