The purpose of this study is to examine how the presence or absence of a peer impacts self-handicapping tendencies.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the presence or absence of a peer impacts self-handicapping tendencies.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how having a peer around or not affects self-handicapping tendencies. Self-handicapping is when someone creates excuses to avoid blame if they do poorly at something.

Participants will be observed in different scenarios to see how their behavior changes with or without a peer present.

  • Who can participate: Participants aged 18-30 who have no history of psychiatric disorders are eligible to participate.
  • Study details: Participants will engage in tasks across various settings to evaluate their reactions and behaviors in the presence or absence of a peer.
