Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to determine current rates of early-onset sepsis and early-onset meningitis at Neonatal Research Network centers, associated pathogens, antimicrobial resistance, signs and symptoms and infant outcomes.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Sepsis
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates early-onset sepsis and meningitis in newborns. Early-onset sepsis and meningitis are serious infections that occur in infants shortly after birth. The study aims to find out how often these conditions happen, the germs that cause them, and the resistance these germs have to treatments.

Participants in this study will be monitored for signs and symptoms of these infections. The study will also look at the outcomes for infants who develop these conditions. This will help to understand how these infections affect newborns and how they can be managed.

  • Who can participate: Eligibility criteria are not specified in the provided information. Please refer to the study details for specific age criteria and other key eligibility factors.
  • Study details: Participants will be observed for signs and symptoms of early-onset sepsis and meningitis. The study involves monitoring for pathogens and assessing infant outcomes.
