Our goal is to find out if our planned communication intervention that will be delivered to parents by a physician and nurse (MD/RN) team across three sessions is viewed as helpful and fosters clear communication with parents about possible treatment options for their child.

The purpose of this study is to find out if our planned communication intervention that will be delivered to parents by a physician and nurse (MD/RN) team across three sessions is viewed as helpful and fosters clear communication with parents about possible treatment options for their child.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Cancer
  • Age: 1 years - 17 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how a communication method delivered by a doctor and nurse team affects discussions with parents about treatment options for their child. The aim is to see if this approach is helpful in making communication clearer.

Participants will attend three sessions where a physician and nurse team will conduct the communication intervention. The study will assess how these sessions help improve conversations about possible treatments.

  • Who can participate: Participants should be parents of children receiving treatment. Eligible participants are those aged 18 years and older who are involved in making healthcare decisions for their child.
  • Study details: Participants will take part in three sessions where they will engage in a communication method with a doctor and nurse team. The focus is on improving discussions about treatment options.
