Safety of Stress Testing in Patients with No Prior History of CAD who Present with An Abnormal Troponin When Acute Coronary Syndrome is Not Suspected
Studying the Safety of Stress Testing in Patients without Coronary Artery Disease
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to use a pre-existing VA database to assess the safety of stress testing in patients with no prior history of coronary artery disease who were admitted with an abdominal tropinin value when a heart attack was no suspected.
Detailed description of study

Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: coronary artery disease
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
This study investigates the safety of stress testing in patients who have no prior history of coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease is a condition where the blood vessels that supply blood to the heart become narrowed or blocked. The study focuses on patients admitted with an abnormal troponin value, a protein released when the heart muscle is damaged, without suspicion of a heart attack.
Participants in this study will undergo stress testing, a procedure that measures how the heart works during physical activity. The study uses data from a pre-existing VA database to assess the outcomes of these tests.
- Who can participate: Participants must have no history of coronary artery disease and an abnormal troponin level without suspected heart attack.
- Study details: Participants will undergo stress testing, which involves monitoring the heart during exercise or with medication that simulates exercise. The study will analyze data from a VA database to evaluate the safety of these tests.
