This study investigates whether gender and racial bias affect how student health care providers interact with simulated patients. Gender bias refers to the unfair difference in treatment based on a person's gender, while racial bias refers to the unfair difference in treatment based on a person's race.
Participants will engage in simulated patient interactions, which means they will practice with actors pretending to be patients. These interactions will be observed and analyzed to determine if bias influences the behavior of the student health care providers.
