Retrospective Review of Prospective Randomized Control Trial Investigating Porcine Acellular Dermal Matrix Fascial Sublay for Parastomal Hernia Replacement in Patients Undergoing Surgery for Permanent Abdominal Wall Ostomies
Investigating Follow-Up Duration on Parastomal Hernia Rates
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to determine if a longer follow-up would demonstrate a different parastomal hernia rate.
Detailed description of study

Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Permanent Abdominal Wall Ostomies
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
This study investigates the impact of longer follow-up periods on the rates of parastomal hernia. A parastomal hernia is a type of hernia that occurs when tissue pushes through a weak spot in the abdominal wall near a stoma, which is an opening created during surgery to allow waste to leave the body.
Participants in this study will undergo assessments to monitor the development of parastomal hernias over an extended follow-up period. The study aims to understand if the duration of follow-up affects the observed rates of hernia occurrence.
- Who can participate: Eligibility criteria are not specified for this study.
- Study details: Participants will be monitored over a longer follow-up period to observe any changes in parastomal hernia rates. The study does not involve any specific treatment, but rather focuses on observation.
