Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to generate data for wrist and hand strength, power, and endurance.

Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to develop a standard protocol and generate normative values for strength, power, and endurance for grip, wrist extension, and wrist flexion for a healthy population that can be used to design treatment plans and set performance thresholds for functional participation in occupation.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the strength, power, and endurance of the wrist and hand in healthy individuals. It aims to develop a standard protocol and generate normative values for grip strength, wrist extension, and wrist flexion. These measurements are important for understanding how the wrist and hand function in everyday activities.

Participants will undergo tests to measure their grip strength, wrist extension, and wrist flexion. These procedures will help in setting performance thresholds that can be used in designing treatment plans for functional participation in various occupations.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be healthy individuals within the age range of 18 to 65 years. Key eligibility criteria include no history of wrist or hand injuries and no current participation in physical therapy for the upper extremities.
  • Study details: Participants will perform tests measuring grip strength, wrist extension, and wrist flexion as part of the study's goal to create a standard protocol for wrist and hand strength assessment.
