Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate developmental reagent pouches as well as performance and clinical utility of potential assays to be included in the FilmArray FI Panel when used to test whole blood or plasma specimens obtained from children under 3 years of age presenting with a fever or suspicion of systemic infection.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate developmental reagent pouches as well as performance and clinical utility of potential assays to be included in the FilmArray FI Panel when used to test whole blood or plasma specimens obtained from children under 3 years of age presenting with a fever or suspicion of systemic infection.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: fever
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the use of experimental diagnostic tests for young children under 3 years old who have a fever or are suspected of having a systemic infection. The aim is to evaluate how well these tests work with blood samples from these children.

Participants in the study will have their blood or plasma tested using special developmental reagent pouches. These pouches are part of a system being evaluated for its ability to identify infections in young children.

  • Who can participate: Children under 3 years old who have a fever or are suspected of having a systemic infection can participate.
  • Study details: Participants will provide blood or plasma samples for testing. These samples will be used to assess the effectiveness of the diagnostic tests.
