Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to examine rare cells called circulating tumor cells that are present in a person's blood when they have lung cancer to see if there is a relationship between a person's cancer symptoms and the number and characteristics of those cells at various times before and during cancer treatment.

Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to examine rare cells called circulating tumor cells that are present in a person's blood when they have lung cancer to see if there is a relationship between a person's cancer symptoms and the number and characteristics of those cells at various times before and during cancer treatment.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: lung cancer
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

The purpose of this study is to investigate rare cells known as circulating tumor cells in the blood of people with lung cancer. Circulating tumor cells are cancer cells that have detached from the original tumor and are found in the bloodstream. Researchers aim to understand if there is a link between these cells and the symptoms experienced by individuals with lung cancer.

Participants in the study will have their blood tested to measure the number and characteristics of circulating tumor cells. This will be done at different times before and during their cancer treatment to observe any changes and correlations with cancer symptoms.

  • Who can participate: Eligibility criteria are not specified in the provided text. Participants may need to meet certain age criteria or other eligibility factors.
  • Study details: Participants will provide blood samples for testing to count and analyze circulating tumor cells. This helps researchers see how these cells relate to lung cancer symptoms.
