Genetics of Intracranial Aneurysm and Aneurysm Wall Histology
Investigation of Intracranial Aneurysm Tissue
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to establish a repository of aneurysmal tissue that can be used for research studies designed to delineate Intracranial Aneurysm etiology through the examination of key candidate genes in disease related tissue.
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to establish a repository of aneurysmal tissue that can be used for research studies designed to delineate Intracranial Aneurysm etiology through the examination of key candidate genes in disease related tissue.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: brain aneurysm
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
This study investigates the causes of intracranial aneurysms by collecting and examining aneurysmal tissue. Intracranial aneurysms are bulges in the blood vessels of the brain that can lead to serious health issues if they rupture. Researchers aim to understand the genetic factors involved by analyzing specific genes in the collected tissue.
Participants will undergo procedures to donate aneurysmal tissue, which will be stored in a repository for future research. This involves removing tissue during a medical procedure, and the tissue will be used to study the genetic aspects of intracranial aneurysms.
- Who can participate: Participants must be adults diagnosed with intracranial aneurysms and scheduled for surgical intervention. Eligibility includes individuals aged 18 and older who are able to provide informed consent.
- Study details: Participants will have aneurysmal tissue collected during a medical procedure. This tissue will be used for research to study genetic factors related to intracranial aneurysms.
