Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to characterize the occurrence and nature of ventriculomegaly in patients with single ventricle cardiac anatomy who are cared for at our facility, and to determine if there is a relationship between the extent of ventriculomegaly and long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes.

Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to characterize the occurrence and nature of ventriculomegaly in patients with single ventricle cardiac anatomy who are cared for at our facility, and to determine if there is a relationship between the extent of ventriculomegaly and long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates ventriculomegaly in patients with single ventricle cardiac anatomy. Ventriculomegaly is a condition where the ventricles, which are fluid-filled spaces in the brain, are larger than normal. The purpose of this study is to find out if there is a relationship between how large these ventricles are and the long-term development of the brain in these patients.

Participants will undergo medical evaluations to assess the size of the ventricles in their brain. The study will also track their neurodevelopmental progress over time to see if there is any connection between the two.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be of a specific age range with a single ventricle cardiac anatomy and be receiving care at the study facility.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo medical evaluations to measure their brain ventricles and track their neurodevelopmental progress over time.
