The purpose of this study is to investigate how L1 influences L2 acquisition by comparing the comprehension of the overgenerated be verbs by Korean and Russian learners of English.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how L1 influences L2 acquisition by comparing the comprehension of the overgenerated be verbs by Korean and Russian learners of English.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

The purpose of this study is to investigate how a person's first language (L1) influences the learning of a second language (L2). It focuses on understanding how Korean and Russian learners of English comprehend the use of the verb 'be', which is often overused by learners.

Participants in this study will be asked to complete tasks that measure their understanding of English sentences containing the verb 'be'. This will help researchers analyze the differences in language acquisition between the two groups.

  • Who can participate: The study is open to Korean and Russian speakers aged 18 and above who are learning English.
