The purpose of this study is to observe translingual practices in playdates.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how children use multiple languages during playdates. It aims to understand the way children switch between languages, a practice known as translingualism.

Participants will be observed during their playdates to see how they communicate and switch languages. The study will not interfere with the natural play environment.

  • Who can participate: The study is open to children who participate in playdates, are exposed to multiple languages, and fall within the specified age range.
  • Study details: Participants will be observed during their playdates to understand their language use. No direct interaction or intervention will occur during the study.
