Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: stroke,traumatic brain injury
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the effectiveness of a special program designed to help veterans who have had a stroke or traumatic brain injury, along with their caregivers. The study looks at how well this program, called a dyadic intervention, works to improve skills and strengths in these individuals.

Participants in the study will be randomly assigned to different study arms to compare the effects of the intervention. This means some people will receive the intervention, while others may not, to see how it impacts their recovery and daily life.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be veterans who have experienced a stroke or traumatic brain injury. Key eligibility factors include age criteria of 18 years and older, and having a caregiver who can participate in the dyadic intervention.
  • Study details: Participants will be randomly assigned to receive the dyadic intervention or a placebo. The placebo is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational treatment but does not contain any therapeutic elements. This helps researchers compare the outcomes between different groups.
