Detailed description of study

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: schizophrenia
  • Age: 18 years - 65 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates visual shift adaptation, which is how our eyes adjust to changes in what we see. The purpose of this study is to understand how this visual adjustment relates to thinking skills, personality traits, and the function of the cerebellum, a part of the brain that helps with movement and balance.

Participants in this study will undergo procedures to measure how their vision adjusts to changes. They will also complete tests that assess their cognitive abilities and personality traits, as well as tests to evaluate cerebellar function, which involves coordination and balance.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be aged 18 to 65 and in good general health. Key eligibility factors include normal or corrected-to-normal vision and no history of neurological disorders.
  • Study details: Participants will be asked to perform tasks that measure visual adaptation and complete cognitive and personality assessments. The study will also involve tests related to cerebellar function.
