Brief description of study.

Legg-Calve-Perthes is a disease when the ball of the thighbone in the hip does not get enough blood, causing the bone to die. In this study, several data points will be used to help determine the reasons why this specific group of patients fails to present to a medical provider before the disease has progressed to a more severe stage.

Legg-Calve-Perthes is a disease when the ball of the thighbone in the hip does not get enough blood, causing the bone to die. In this study, several data points will be used to help determine the reasons why this specific group of patients fails to present to a medical provider before the disease has progressed to a more severe stage.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, a condition where the ball of the thighbone in the hip does not receive enough blood, causing the bone to die. The purpose is to understand why some patients do not see a doctor until the disease becomes more serious.

The study will collect various data points to identify the reasons behind delayed medical consultations for Legg-Calve-Perthes disease. This involves analyzing patient behaviors and potential barriers to early diagnosis.

  • Who can participate: Children aged 4 to 10 years diagnosed with Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, who have experienced delays in seeking medical attention, may be eligible to participate.
  • Study details: Participants will be asked to provide information about their medical history and any barriers they faced in seeking early treatment for Legg-Calve-Perthes disease.
