The purpose of this study is to find out whether users of the traditional Indian number system see large number quantity relations in comparison to English-only speakers.

The purpose of this study is to find out whether users of the traditional Indian number system see large number quantity relations in comparison to English-only speakers.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether people who use the traditional Indian number system perceive large numbers differently compared to those who only speak English. This study explores how language might affect the way we understand and relate to large quantities of numbers.

Participants in the study will be asked to complete tasks that involve recognizing and comparing large numbers. These tasks are designed to assess whether there is a difference in perception based on the number system used. No specific medical procedures are involved.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be speakers of either the traditional Indian number system or English-only speakers. There are no specific age criteria mentioned.
