The purpose of this study is to improve IUH tier iii unit staff and provider wellness and engagement through an innovative intervention that embeds a chaplain in each unit for approximately one year.

The purpose of this study is to improve IUH tier iii unit staff and provider wellness and engagement through an innovative intervention that embeds a chaplain in each unit for approximately one year.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

The purpose of this study is to investigate how having a chaplain in each IUH tier III unit affects the wellness and engagement of the staff and providers. A chaplain is a person who provides spiritual and emotional support, often in hospitals or other care settings.

In this study, chaplains will be placed in the units to support staff and providers. The study aims to see if this support can improve their work experience and engagement. Participants will interact with the chaplain as part of their usual work routine.

  • Who can participate: The study is open to staff and providers working in tier III units. Participants must be part of the unit where the chaplain is embedded. There are no specific age criteria.
  • Study details: Participants will engage with the chaplain embedded in their unit as part of their regular work environment. The chaplain will provide support and guidance to improve wellness and engagement.
  • Study Timelines: The study will last approximately one year.
