The purpose of this study is to test the efficacy of personalized music therapy in reducing delirium incidence and severity among patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.

The purpose of this study is to test the efficacy of personalized music therapy in reducing delirium incidence and severity among patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: delirium
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

The purpose of this study is to test the efficacy of personalized music therapy in reducing delirium incidence and severity among patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. Delirium is a sudden change in the brain that causes confusion and changes in behavior, often occurring in hospital settings.

Participants in the study will receive personalized music therapy sessions. Music therapy involves using music to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. The study aims to observe any changes in delirium symptoms with this non-invasive treatment.

  • Who can participate: The study is open to patients of all ages who are currently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. Participants must be experiencing delirium or at risk of developing delirium.
  • Study details: Participants will engage in personalized music therapy sessions. These sessions are designed to manage symptoms of delirium.
