Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is a retrospective chart review of all patients undergoing elective open or laparoscopic colorectal resections from April 1, 2012 to July 1, 2016 at Indian University Hospital. This investigation will examine incidence of acute kidney injury post-operatively, hospital length of stay, and incidence of postoperative ileus.

The purpose of this study is a retrospective chart review of all patients undergoing elective open or laparoscopic colorectal resections from April 1, 2012 to July 1, 2016 at Indian University Hospital. This investigation will examine incidence of acute kidney injury post-operatively, hospital length of stay, and incidence of postoperative ileus.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Colorectal Surgery
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the outcomes of patients who have undergone elective open or laparoscopic colorectal surgeries. The purpose is to examine the occurrence of acute kidney injury after surgery, the length of hospital stay, and the incidence of postoperative ileus, a condition where the intestines do not function properly after surgery.

Participants' medical charts from surgeries conducted between April 1, 2012, and July 1, 2016, will be reviewed to gather data. The study will focus on identifying patterns and outcomes related to these specific post-surgical complications.
