Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to answer the following questions: 1) Does the name/gender/academic ability of a student impact how teachers respond to student behavior?; 2) Do teachers' responses to student behavior change when provided training in PBIS?

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how different factors such as a student's name, gender, and academic ability can affect how teachers respond to student behavior. The study also looks at whether teachers' responses change after they receive training in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS is a method used in schools to promote positive behavior and improve the school environment.

Participants in the study will be teachers who will undergo training in PBIS. Their responses to various student behaviors will be observed and analyzed before and after the training to see if there are any significant changes. By understanding these dynamics, the study aims to provide insights into improving teacher-student interactions.

  • Who can participate: The study is open to teachers who have at least two years of experience and are working in public schools. They should be interested in learning about PBIS and willing to participate in training sessions.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo a training program in PBIS and their responses to student behavior will be observed and recorded. If a placebo is used, it is defined as an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine/vaccine but does not contain any medicine.
