The purpose of this study is to see if Tegretol is effective in treating irritability in people who have had a TBI.

The purpose of this study is to see if Tegretol is effective in treating irritability in people who have had a TBI.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: brain injury
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the effectiveness of an investigational medication in treating irritability in individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Traumatic brain injury is a condition where the brain is damaged due to a sudden impact or jolt to the head, leading to various symptoms including irritability.

Participants in the study will receive either the investigational medication or a placebo. A placebo is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medication but does not contain any medicine. The study will compare the effects of the investigational medication to the placebo to determine its effectiveness.
