The focus of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of veliparib in women with previously untreated, Stage III or IV, high-grade serous, epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer.

The focus of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of veliparib in women with previously untreated, Stage III or IV, high-grade serous, epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Ovarian Cancer,Ovarian Neoplasm
  • Age: 18 years - 99 years
  • Gender: Female

This study investigates the effectiveness and safety of an investigational medication for women with advanced ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. These conditions involve cancer that begins in the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or the lining of the abdomen, and have progressed to advanced stages, specifically Stage III or IV.

Participants will receive either the investigational medication or a placebo. A placebo is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medication but does not contain any medicine. The study will monitor the effects on the participants to determine the medication's safety and tolerability.

  • Who can participate: Women aged 18 and older with Stage III or IV high-grade serous epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer who have not received prior treatment are eligible to participate.
  • Study details: Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the investigational medication or a placebo. A placebo is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medication but does not contain any medicine.
