The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of ginseng and caffeine on cognition - specifically working memory.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the effects of an investigational substance on cognition, focusing on working memory. Cognition refers to mental processes like thinking, remembering, and learning. Working memory is a part of short-term memory that involves holding and processing information.

Participants will be assigned to different study arms where they may receive either the investigational substance or a placebo. A placebo is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine but does not contain any medicine. The study will involve assessments to measure changes in working memory.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 to 65 years who have no history of neurological disorders and are not currently taking medication affecting cognition are eligible to participate.
  • Study details: Participants will be assigned to different groups to receive either ginseng, caffeine, or a placebo. The study will include assessments to evaluate changes in working memory.
